Islamic Finance news Roadshow in Turkey
Expanding the Realms of Islamic Finance
The Participation Banks Association of Turkey (TKKB comprises Albaraka Turk, Bank Asya, Turkiye Finans and Kuveyt Turk) posted a 2009 full-year profit of TRY 697 million (US$470 million) in 2009.
UniCredit Group has called Islamic banks (participations banks in Turkey) the fastest growing segment in Turkish banking. Between August 2008 and January 2010, the credit volume of these banks grew by 9.7%.
For this reason, on the 11th June Islamic Finance news will host the 2nd Turkish IFN Roadshow at Grand Hyatt Istanbul.
Designed to generate ideas and fresh views to help practitioners develop new or alternative ways to improve their business, this roadshow aims to explore and analyze the latest developments in the Turkish participation financial market.
This is a free-to-attend one-day event open to those with an interest in understanding more about the participation finance industry in Turkey and further afield.
Professor Turalay Kenc, Member of the Board at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey will deliver the Key-note address. This will be followed by 21 key industry practitioners from around the region participating in a series of open round-table discussions.
Delegates are invited to interact via regular question and answer sessions and during the networking sessions designed to assist in the development of the participation finance market in Turkey.
Organized by the REDmoney Group, the Roadshow is visiting 16 cities across Asia, the Middle East, North America and Europe. Following this event the Roadshow will travel to India (3rd August) and Pakistan (5th August).
