Press Release
Islamic Finance news Roadshow in Hong Kong
Expanding the Realms of Islamic Finance
Hong Kong has been taking measures to capture opportunities in the lucrative Islamic financial market to become one of the centers of Islamic finance. Recently, the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) opened its first Asian branch in Hong Kong. Despite having a small number of clients in Asia, CEO Michael Hardwick Tomalin said he sees much demand from its Middle Eastern clients wanting to do business in Asia.
For this reason, on the 11th May Islamic Finance news will host the 3rd IFN Roadshow at the Conrad Hotel.
Designed to generate ideas and fresh views to help practitioners develop new or alternative ways to improve their business, this roadshow aims to explore and analyze the latest developments in the Hong Kong Islamic financial market.
This is a free-to-attend one-day event open to those with an interest in understanding more about the Islamic finance industry in Hong Kong, China and further afield.
Edmond Lau, Executive Director of Monetary Management at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority will be delivering the key-note address, and will be followed by 25 key industry practitioners from around the region participating in a series of open round-table discussions.
Delegates are invited to interact via regular question and answer sessions and during the networking sessions designed to assist in the development of the market in Hong Kong.
Organized by REDmoney Group, the Roadshow is visiting 16 cities across Asia, the Middle East, North America and Europe. Following this event the Roadshow will travel to Australia (14th May), Egypt (9th June) and Turkey (11th June).
