Refreshment & Networking

The IFN UK Forum 2024 provided an exceptional platform for meaningful dialog on the future of Islamic finance in the UK. As a panelist discussing ‘Fit for Purpose: Islamic Financial Services,’ I was impressed by the depth of insights shared and the forward-thinking approach to addressing industry challenges. The event brought together a diverse group of experts, fostering rich discussions on how technology, innovation and evolving consumer needs are shaping the landscape of Islamic banking. The forum’s focus on practical solutions and market trends was particularly valuable, offering attendees a comprehensive view of the sector’s potential for growth and innovation.

This event is a must-attend for anyone looking to stay at the forefront of Islamic finance in the UK. It’s not just a conference; it’s a catalyst for positive change in the industry.

SPARK

It was nice to see our name up in lights this morning. We were really pleased with the number of people in attendance at the event and it was the most we have seen for a long time. Also, the quality of the people was of a very high standard. More market practitioners than we see at other events. All in all it was a great event for us.

EIGER TRADING

It was, as always, a pleasure to attend and participate in the event. I thought that it went very well.

LEGAL & GENERAL INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT

It was a pleasure to attend the event – I really enjoyed it and felt it was very professional and immensely value adding.

HSBC GLOBAL ASSET MANAGEMENT

We found the event to be very helpful and useful. The venue itself, however, seemed a little crowded. Otherwise, we enjoyed the event and are looking forward to next year. I enjoyed meeting a wide range of Islamic finance representatives and stakeholders. I also appreciated that many stakeholders flew in from various corners of the world to attend and their contribution to discussions was super interesting.

CHANNEL CAPITAL

Thank you for the kind invitation to speak and participate at this year’s IFN Forum. I enjoyed the morning and networking with contacts from the Islamic finance and debt capital markets.

LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE GROUP

Thanks for organizing the Forum today – I really enjoyed it. I thought that it was really well-attended. A good range of opinions, and some interesting and open questions / debate.

DENTONS

I had the distinct honor of speaking at the IFN UK Forum 2024. My session provided a platform to delve into the significant milestones achieved within UK Islamic finance. We engaged in candid discussions about the existing gaps and explored innovative solutions to address these challenges. One of the key highlights was the focus on accelerating capital flows to start-ups and early stage businesses within the Shariah compliant sector. The impact of new and evolving technologies, regulations and challenges in the industry was also thoroughly examined.

These discussions are crucial for the continuous growth and sustainability of Islamic financial services in the UK. The event was incredibly valuable, offering deep insights and fostering meaningful connections among participants. It underscored the importance of continuous innovation and proactive strategies in ensuring that Islamic finance remains fit for purpose in a rapidly changing financial landscape.

I found the forum to be an enriching experience, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a pivotal conversation. I look forward to seeing the positive impact of our discussions on the future of Islamic finance in the UK. Thank you for hosting such a well-structured and impactful event.
