About the Event
The prospects for growth in Sri Lanka are extremely attractive. With the first fully fledged commercial Islamic bank in Sri Lanka now open, almost all banks are now opening or considering Islamic windows. In particular there is a strong growth potential in the areas of Ijarah, Diminishing Musharakah and Sukuk.
Sri Lanka is a strategic naval link between West Asia and South East Asia. A legislative breakthrough in 2005 with the Amendment of the Banking Act turned this economy into a potential hub for Islamic finance and we expect this new market for the Islamic Finance news Roadshow to flourish in the years to come.
The first IFN Sri Lanka Roadshow will be held in Hilton Colombo on the 6th September 2012.
