Transforming from Legacy to Digital

Date: 17th July 2025
Venue: DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur

Classroom Training

WHY THIS COURSE?

While financial institutions have been undertaking digital transformation for some time and much has been written about the digital enhancement of a bank’s consumer experience, how much time and resource has been spent considering how the introduction of technology influences a bank’s balance sheet?

This one-day module delves into the evolution of bank balance sheets from traditional legacy formats to modern digital representations. Participants will examine the impact of digital technologies on balance sheet management, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making in the banking sector.

This comprehensive physical training program covers the key concepts and practical skills necessary to effectively manage the transformation of the balance sheet of a financial institution. For each section there will be foundation skills, relevant global/local regulatory linkages and best practices, enabling participants without core subject knowledge, as well as advanced practitioners, to jointly attend.

  • Course Objectives:
    1. Assessing the significance of transitioning from legacy balance sheets to digital platforms.
    2. Understanding the components of a digital bank balance sheet.
    3. Assessing regulatory requirements for digital balance sheet reporting.
    4. Implementing effective strategic decision-making with digital balance sheets.
    5. Examining key performance indicators for digital balance sheet management.
    6. Deploying and integrating technologies for digital balance sheet management.
