Islamic Finance news Roadshow in Egypt
Expanding the Realms of Islamic Finance
The National Bank for Development (NBD) recently added two new Islamic offerings to its product line-up in its move to become a full-fledged Islamic bank by year-end.
In addition, Egyptian Investment Minister HE Dr Mahmoud Mohieldin recently confirmed his interest in developing stronger Islamic finance collaborations with the more developed Islamic finance markets. With this support and desire to build on, Egypt will almost certainly develop into a formidable Islamic financing market in the years to come.
For this reason, on the 9th June Islamic Finance news will host the 2nd Egyptian IFN Roadshow at the American University in Cairo.
Designed to generate ideas and fresh views to help practitioners develop new and alternative ways to improve their business, this roadshow aims to explore and analyze the latest developments in the Egyptian Islamic financial market.
This is a free-to-attend one-day event open to those with an interest in understanding more about the Islamic finance industry in Egypt and further afield.
Osama Salleh, Chairman of Egyptian General Authority for Investment will deliver the key-note luncheon presentation. 20 key industry practitioners from around the region will be participating in a series of open round-table discussions.
Delegates are invited to interact via regular question and answer sessions and during the networking sessions designed to assist in the development of the Islamic finance market in Egypt.
Organized by the REDmoney Group, the Roadshow is visiting 16 cities across Asia, the Middle East, North America and Europe. Following this event the Roadshow will travel to Turkey (11th June) and Thailand (22nd June).
